Today was a great day for Nataraj band.  Trey and I got to go onto Asheville FM community radio to talk about our band.  We mentioned that we will be playing a show this Sunday at LAFF (The Lexington Ave Arts and Fun Festival) from 6-8.  It’s going to be a good time, so if you’re in Asheville, come on down and dance.  We will also be playing at White Horse in Black Mountain on Sep. 24th.  Nataraj band consists of Alex, Trey, Simon Renjit, and myself (DJ Story).  Be sure to check out the official band website: NatarajMusic.com

Nataraj is Sanskrit, and translates to King of Dance.  It is  symbolized by the image of Hindu deity, Shiva, dancing.

As you may know, I have a Korg microKONTROL. The other night I was practicing my live electronic skills when all of a sudden my slider came off in my fingers… I contracted Korg support, and they said the piece that holds it in was broken, and I would need to take it to a service center. I looked up the nearest service center, and found out that he was behind on work a month. The part is only like $7 plus labor. Then he let me in on a little known secret. If you’re really careful you can actually just use superglue to reattach the slider. I was thinking about doing something like that, although I didn’t want to mess anything up. Anyway, today I used some superglue on it, and it seems to be holding up well so far. GO SUPERGLUE!!!

I must say I was really distraught for a couple days there. It’s really sad to finally figure out how to use your midi controller, and then have something like that happen. I love my Korg though. We’ve been through a lot together, and it’s always been there for me like a best friend.  I had this microKONTROL for like 5 years without any problems whatsoever.

Now you know the secret to fixing your sliders that Korg doesn’t want you to know…lol
